Favorite Graco jog stroller style: FastAction™ Fold Jogger Click Connect™ Stroller Features We Love: The one handed fold. Deluxe parent’s tray features a unique smart phone cradle for your phone or MP3 player, 2 deep cup holders and a covered storage compartment. Compared to the Trekko® Classic Connect™ Stroller, this model is made more for runners. Features We Do Not Love: Only can hold a child up to 50 lbs. No double jog stroller feature. The car seat adapter is only compatible with the Graco car seats. I have a Chicco Key Fit 360, which is the top rated infant car seat carrier; therefore, I was not able to test the stroller with my car seat. Our sixth jog stroller product review for Baby Safety Month, Kelty jog strollers.  Kelty Kids is JPMA certified and approved manufacturer. Kelty has one jog stroller, the Speedster Swivel Deluxe. Only Kelty jog stroller style: Speedster Swivel Deluxe Features We Love: Rated in 2011 as one of the best jog strollers by Babble. Adjustable height of the hand bar. Adjustable tracking. Features We Do Not Love: Have to engage one wheel brake at a time; they both don’t lock together. Narrow seat, according to Consumer Reports the narrow frame can lead to tipping over easily. BOB jog strollers are our first jog stroller product review for Baby Safety Month.  Both the single and double strollers (Duallie) are our founder’s favorite brand along with some of our stroller runners. Jog strollers are an investment and BOB jog strollers tend to be  more expensive than other brands, but in my opinion well worth the money. Especially, if you are an avid runner and you are planning to run with an infant; the baby needs the suspension control of the BOB for their little bodies. In order to save some money, consider buying the last year model or becoming a member at REI.  I have found both my single and Duallie more than half price off at the bi-annual member sales at REI.  If you would like to try out the BOB, REI and Buy Buy Baby have models on the floor to try and on occasion some Babies R’ Us locations have them too. September is Baby Safety Month and over the course of the next four weeks, every Tuesday and Thursday, we will provide our top jog stroller or active baby carriers companies that are approved by Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA). Raising a bundle of joy takes care and knowledge to ensure the first years are happy and healthy not only for the baby but for the parents too.  Sometimes as parents we get caught up with the care of the baby and forget about ourselves. This is not my normal post, but I had to share a funny from my three year old. My son has recently learned what Pinterest is due to me leaving my iPad open to Disney Car pins when getting a cup of coffee.  He thought he was heaven. He started saying we need to “pin” this for Ho, Ho (a.k.a. Santa Claus in our house) or this is what he wants for his birthday.  I think Pinterest to him is like Sears catalog shopping was to me. When I was young, my parent would go to holiday parties and hand us the big Sears catalog and say write your Christmas list. I am not sure if my parents ever bought me anything for that list, but boy did my siblings and I have fun dreaming and hoping. So, on Friday while at dinner my son was looking at Pinterest and this is what he was pinning. Yes, women’s underwear. Not just any women’s underwear, but running inspired underwear. He thought the picture was of an umbrella. I could not stop laughing and my husband was so proud that he was pinning women’s underwear.  He was so upset because I was laughing, but in the end I just let him believe it was an umbrella. Packing for a race is always challenging.  You never want to leave home without your favorite socks, or your watch or your lucky shorts.  As a parent, I have found it increasing difficult to pack for a race, especially when I am running with my jog stroller and kids.  I find that I am more concerned about their needs and then inevitably I forget the essential race gear I need to race.  In order to avoid forgetting crucial race gear and my kid’s necessary items, I created a Racing with a Stroller – Race Day Checklist.
